In the Outer Hebrides the main island is called Lewis to the north and Harris to the south. They are pretty much connected as one island although referred to as the Isle of Lewis and the Isle of Harris. I spent most of my time to the north on Lewis (in and around the town of Stornoway). I took a cruise down the "Golden Road" on Harris. Although famous for its beaches, it was raining and simply not beach weather. I did manage to video the Harris Dance out on the Golden Road, which I'll post later. It seems people are having difficulty seeing the videos on this blog, so from now on I'll post them to youtube and they will show up right on here. That seems to work pretty well. Here are some pictures from the Golden Road, Isle of Harris. So far this is the most amazing place I've been to in Scotland, and if I could come back and spend more time, it would be here. It is hard to believe that a place this beautiful actually exists. Pictures simply don't capture it, but I tried. You'll want to click on some of these to see them bigger.
